Kingshot Resource Management Guide: Spend, Hold, Protect, or Align
Resources and speed-ups are most useful when they solve a real current constraint. This guide helps you choose whether to spend, hold, protect, or align a decision with the situation in front of you.

Identify the real bottleneck
Start with the queue or requirement that currently prevents progress. A resource decision is stronger when it clears that constraint rather than merely reducing the size of an inventory.

Use a spend, hold, protect, or align matrix
Spend when the resource clears the present bottleneck; hold when a near-term requirement matters; protect when exposure matters; and align only after reviewing the current in-game objective. Storehouse belongs in the resource-protection context.
- What does this resource unlock for the current goal?
- What risk increases if it is committed now?
Make speed-up decisions with the queue in view
Judge a speed-up against the specific blocked queue and the immediate objective. A generic rule to spend or hoard every speed-up cannot account for different account states.
Check risk before committing
Before making a large commitment, review the active queue, the resources still needed for the next action, and any exposure that makes protection relevant.
Review current event conditions
If an event influences the decision, check its live objective, eligibility, timing, and rules in the game before changing your resource plan.
